Before You Replace a MIG Nozzle, Check These 3 Sizes

A quick visual check before you order.

Similar on the shelf does not always mean interchangeable on the torch.

Keep the old nozzle beside you. Check its part number and torch model first; then compare these three measurements on the replacement listing.

01 / 03

Connection fit

Start at the back. Match the mounting style and interface dimensions to your torch and diffuser. A similar-looking nozzle may attach differently.

WHAT TO CHECKCompare the rear connection with the old nozzle.
02 / 03

Opening diameter

Measure the bore at the front—not the outside diameter. Compare the same dimension on the replacement listing.

WHAT TO CHECKCheck the diameter across the front opening.
03 / 03

Overall length

Measure from the rear mounting edge to the front lip. Then check the installed relationship between nozzle lip and contact tip.

WHAT TO CHECKCompare rear edge to front lip.
Final check

Match the part number before the dimensions.

Size alone cannot confirm compatibility. Verify the torch model, mounting style and manufacturer reference on the product page. If the listing omits a measurement, do not guess from the photo.
